Wimbledon is a very prestigious tournament and the players who compete in it are the best in the world. The tournament dates back to 1877 and is the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world. The winners of Wimbledon receive a trophy and a large cash prize. The tournament is open to the best players in the world, and the competition is fierce. In the first match of the day at Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic overcame an early second-set stumble to win in straight sets against Philipp Kohlschreiber. Djokovic, the defending champion and top seed, won the first set 6-3, but Kohlschreiber came back to win the second set 6-4. Djokovic then regained control in the third set, winning it 6-3. Djokovic will now face either Denis Istomin or Gilles Muller in the second round. Djokovic's victory was not without some drama, as he had to overcome a Kohlschreiber comeback in the second set. Djokovic was able to win that set by breaking Kohlschreiber's serve late in the set. Djokovic also had to overcome an ankle injury in the match.
